Oscar Mike

Oscar Mike Brands

Oscar Mike is a USA Made apparel company founded by quadriplegic Marine Corps veteran, Noah Currier.  Not just manufactured on US soil, but they make sure that all textiles, dying, cutting, sewing, printing, stocking, and shipping is done here in the USA!  Many of their t-shirts have unique graphic designs, making it fun to stand out in the crowd while showing off your patriotic pride.

History

Noah Currier, the founder, had gone through a journey during his time fighting for our country from losing loved ones, becoming paralyzed, and fighting depression.  A friend of his had convinced him to try an adaptive sport to revitalize his outlook on life and sense of worthiness.  On Veteran’s Day of November 11, 2011, Oscar Mike was founded by him and a group of injured veterans.  Their goal was to simply help their peers, which turned into a clear mission of supporting injured, ill, and disabled veterans.

Mission

Oscar Mike’s mission is to create a well-supported community of American citizens and veterans that focuses on the health and wellness of each individual.  From mental health to physical mobility, Oscar Mike hopes to increase awareness and provide help toward people living with disabilities.  Through every purchase of their apparel, Oscar Mike minimizes its nonprofit overhead in its 501(c)(3) foundation to support injured, ill, or disabled veterans.  Particularly, these funds go into building new adaptive facilities, content, and programs.

Vision

Products

T-shirts, t-shirts, t-shirts!  Oscar Mike has very fun designs and graphic t-shirts for both men and women.  They also make sure to sell some with minimal branding for those who prefer something a bit more subtle.  Most shirts have the American flag printed on one sleeve and a small Oscar Mike logo on the other sleeve.

American Made Movement Tee

My personal favorite is the American Made Movement Tee.  It’s detailed in red and blue colors that looks like it has some unique geometry with the way the A and M are printed on the shirt from far away.  Up close, it’s simple, yet illustrates the relevance of keeping the USA made movement alive!

Ride the Lightning Tee

If you want something a bit louder and screams “’Merica!,” then check out the Ride the Lightning t-shirt.  On a white t-shirt, it’s print and text is all red, white, and blue with a star-studded eagle flying through the sky on a lightning bolt.  The colors are well saturated and bold enough to show off your American pride!  These t-shirts are made of a 50/50 combed cotton and polyester blend that is ring-spun to a 30/1 knit, which means they are ultra-soft and smooth to the skin.

Oscar Mikes Active Wear and Yoga

For the ladies, the loose-fitting tank tops would be a great option for going to the gym or yoga session.

They are made of my favorite tri-blend material of 50% Polyester, 25% Cotton, and 25% Rayon.

If you like more of a classic rock ‘n’ roll vibe, check out the Taste of Freedom Tank that has American colors all over the lips on the graphic.

The fit of these tanks is draped and racerback, making it a simple cut that goes perfectly with jeans or leggings.  An item that’s perfect for those tough, sweaty sessions would be the Dripping with Determination Legging.

Oscar Mike's Yoga Wear

It’s a soft, “barely there” feeling which would be great for during or after your workout.  It has minimal branding on the upper thigh and is made of 90% Recycled Nylon and 10% Spandex.  These leggings have been wear-tested and approved by the Oscar Mike team, so you know they are the real deal!

Military Shirts

Oscar Mike Military Shirts

Oscar Mike has a separate section for military branch or veterans specific shirts.  They have carefully thought out the color combination with these t-shirts, making it a clean and slick collection.

This USMC First to Fight Tee has the eagle’s wings spread out as a shield over a WWI doughboy helmet with the Marines logo imprinted and a faded USA flag hanging below.

Lastly, the 1775 date is printed on the flag to symbolize the birth year of the formal unification under General Washington.  With all these symbols, it is nicely tied in together to represent the proud service of the Marines to the USA.

If you’re not look for apparel, Oscar Mike also makes fun stickers, mugs, and bottles as well. Check our links to Oscar Mikes Products here!
